Margaret Throsby's voice has been likened to ‘Aural Velvet’ and like her voice her face is familiar Australia-wide.

Margaret Throsby presents ABC Classic FM’s Morning Program from 9am to 11am Monday to Friday. In early April 2005, Classic FM along with Margaret’s program turned 10-years-old.

As a merit of her achievements, Margaret has also done and received the following:

Become a Member of the Order of Australia;

Won the Variety Club of Australia's radio Award

Won two Avion Awards for the best in the world in-flight programs (Qantas)

Won the Golden Gavel Award presented by the Law Society of NSW for "Excellence in Legal Reporting"

Won the Children's Week Award for Services to Children - Media Award

She was also once the Rostrum Speaker of the Year
