KOTEK
Not only is it rare to hear the sound of Balinese Gamelan in Australia, it is even rarer to see Australians playing the music with such precision and flair. KOTEK brings traditional Balinese bamboo music (called Gamelan Rindik) to Australia. Rindik is an instrument of bamboo tubes suspended in a decorative wooden frame and is usually played in pairs. People who have visited Bali may fondly remember seeing Rindik being played in the hotels and restaurants.

Lachlan Redd
Lachlan Redd is arguably Australia's finest pianist. He attracted national attention in the classical Australian music scene when, in 1996, he replaced Bruno Leonardo Gelber, as an undergraduate, in two performances of Rachmaninoff's Concerto 3. Winner of the 1996 Keyboard Final of the ABC Young Performer of the Year Awards, Lachlan stepped into the the breach and played without any rehearsal with the orchestra and was given a standing ovation for his performance. He has since played throughout Australia as both a soloist and recitalist, appearing with nearly all the major orchestras and has obtained a Master's Degree in Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
