A Night At The Opera Murder Mystery Add to Shortlist

Dying for a great night out?

Why not become a major suspect or throw in a red herring or just sit back and enjoy the fun? A Night At The Opera Murder Mystery is a great night’s entertainment that involves everyone. Allegro provides a detective to conduct the investigation, nametags, music and prizes.

Our talented team of actors create a fun, comfortable atmosphere where members of the audience are encouraged and applauded to take part in solving the crime without doing the time.

Our parties never die but some of the guests might!

A Night At The Opera Murder Mystery is great corporate edu-tainment that just happens to be riotously fun. Our extremely well organised and professional murder mysteries will definitely leave a lasting impression on your colleagues. Your colleagues too will leave a lasting impression on each other!

Here’s how it works . . .

Stage One

We send you all of the characters for you to then distribute to your colleagues. These are graded from “major suspects”, who will be extensively questioned by our detective (they may even become victims!), to “witnesses”, who have a little something to say or do, to “spectators”, who are given minor characters with some gossip to spread about.

WARNING: On a mystery night anything can happen . . . and it usually does. Shrinking violets with spectator parts sometimes turn into key suspects as people become totally involved in the night.

Character sheets can either be handed out on the day as your colleagues arrive or in advance. Basic costuming can also be provided for guests to don upon arrival (ie. feather boas, hats, jackets, small props etc).

Stage Two

Our murder hosts will arrive an hour before guests, making sure table arrangements work and to meet and greet guests at the door. Each guest will be given a nametag, and encouraged to spread gossip and find our about the other characters.

Stage Three

The murder mystery is divided into approximately 3 x 45-minutes sets. These can be conducted either throughout a meal or during the course of a cocktail party.

Stage Four

At the end of the night, each person is given the opportunity to ask one question before writing down who they think dunit! Some of these theories are read out and finally our hosts ask “Will tonight’s murderer please stand up?” The murderer is revealed to much surprise and applause. Simple prizes are given to those people who dress up, guess the murderer, play their character in an outrageous way, etc.
