This dynamic, traditional string quartet comprises of four experienced performers, dressed in elegant black, playing two violins, a viola and a cello. They have over 40 hours of repertoire, which ranges from Baroque and Classical to the lively 50s and 60s swing jazz style. With its full sound, the quartet enjoys audience interaction and is ideal as atmospheric background music for large audiences. However, they can also add style to an elegant function, by performing on the concert stage.
Over the past 10 years Carnival have performed as a duo, trio and quartet throughout Australia, Europe, Singapore, Japan and South Africa. They have experience in all types of events including weddings and corporate events, as well as television appearances, celebrity performances, rock festivals, film recordings and support acts.
They have been regular support artists on popular television shows including Dancing with the Stars, It takes 2, Australia’s Got Talent, Hey Hey It's Saturday and Good Morning Australia. They're also in demand as session musicians at many of Melbourne's top studios and have recorded for many bands and TV commercials. Some film recording highlights include Elizabeth, Sliding Doors, Macbeth, The Man Who Sued God, The Interview, My Brother Jack and Bran Nue Dae.
