Lee Sissing is the soulful and passionate female vocalist behind some of the biggest names in Australia’s urban music scene. Boasting the title “The Hook Queen”, this stunning, diminutive and sexy diva is Melbourne born (of South African/Filipino decent), and has built up an impressive CV of feature appearances over the years.
The demand for Lee’s talent expands right through the urban music scene in Australia; having collaborated and performed with the cream of Australian talent, including Jeremy Gregory and soul sensation Daniel Merriweather. Appearing on Universal recording artist MC Phrase’s debut album ‘Talk with Force’ and having recently appeared on the solo debut of another Melbourne hip hop artist Brad Strut (Lyrical Commission), Lee has become the sultry voice in demand when it comes the sounds of hip hop soul in Australia.
Lee has a career set on a musical canvas of international and local colour. She is more than just a pretty face as she brings her powerhouse vocals and performance to the forefront as a vocalist with the undercurrents of pure soul.
With a career in music and dance spanning over half her life, Lee could easily slip into the term of ‘veteran’, but she isn’t about to be pigeonholed right now, with her vocal range containing a rare versatility that has captured audiences across the hip hop and soul genre. Having worked on and been involved in countless tours over the years, Lee has indeed graced the stage alongside some of the hottest superstars including Kanye West, Sean Paul, Snoop Dogg, Rahsaan Patterson, DJ Premier and Ne –Yo to name a few.

From Donny Hathaway and Curtis Mayfield, to Karen Carpenter, Chaka Khan, Sade and Mary J, Lee draws not only vocal inspiration from this list but personal attributes that she aligns with her own musical journey.

After recently returning from the USA touring as a backing vocalist for Robin Thicke, Lee is now writing for a number of artists, as well as working on her solo project.
